The Big Sandy Lake Association opposes Enbridge's preferred route for the Line 3 Replacement pipeline.  We have done our best to support efforts to reroute this new corridor to a safer place, one that doesn't threaten Minnesota's rivers and lakes.  Putting an oil and tar sands pipeline corridor through a concentration of clean lakes, the most prolific wild rice beds in the country, and the vulnerable wetlands of Aitkin County is both irresponsible and avoidable. Enbridge has a poor track record for allowing and managing spills and cannot be trusted to do the right thing in Minnesota's valuable lakes country.

Red line is the original route proposed by Enbridge

Purple line is the approved route
